I have over 40 years experience leading people in both small and large organizations. I held senior executive positions in several organizations to include: Ashford University, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), bd Systems Inc., Electronic Data Systems, and Hughes Information Technology Systems. I served as President and CEO of bd Systems, Inc. upon its acquisition by SAIC. I have led business ranged from small teams to large, geographically dispersed organizations with annual sales in excess of $230M.
In addition to my professional career, I am active in the non-profit world. I have led non-profit organizations. I have provided pro-bono consulting, first through the Front Range Executive Service Corps, and now through the Colorado Springs Center for Non-Profit Excellence. This consulting has been in the areas of strategic planning, financial management, program management, and board governance. Additionally, I mentor PhD candidates in the development and execution of their research studies supporting their dissertation pursuit.
I graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Sciences. I have a Master of Arts degree in Business Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University, and a PhD from Capella University in Organization and Management.
